Wanting to add more sight word practice to my repertoire, I created this sight word powerpoint super-fast, put it on a timer, and prepared my little kiddos for the practice.
Just by starting the slideshow, our sight words, color words, and number words flash on the screen for about 8-10 seconds. Students read the word out loud, then spell it correctly on the butcher paper in front of them. Each slide is introduced with a "ding," giving the kids an auditory cue that the next word is up on the screen.
We've done this activity as part of our Reading rotation/center as well.
